Happy Wednesday! I'm sure some kiddos were disappointed not to have a snow day today, but I think we made up for it with lots of fun learning!
We stared our day with math, where we worked on identifying and creating equal parts of a whole. This can be tricky, but we noticed that using a ruler and being very accurate was important!
We then had a chance to go see some of the grade 4 Habitat presentations! They were fantastic!!
Then we moved into an explanatory writing piece about explaining to a visitor about all the fun things to do an see in Oakville. We focused on using the success criteria to check over our work.
For science, the grade 2s learned about Mammals with the help from Bill Nye. We read a story, and identified the main characteristics of what makes an animal a mammal! We even learned a few exceptions, like the platypus!
We finished our day with Art with Mme Jessel, and some free choice time.
Notes:
Tonight's homework is RazKids
Have a lovely night!
